Front Door Series Pt. 4

The final installment! Holiday decor….

What a JOY!

Anything would look good with that sweet pup sitting in front of it. I like this Halloween wreath, I don’t get into all the witches and bats. Pumpkins, I like.

At first glance I thought this was a candy wreath.

If you look closer, they are little rosettes.

This would look great on the front door of a log cabin!

Burlap, Rosettes and Valentines wrapped in one!

Craftaholics Anonymous made this cutie for Valentine’s. I love the not the norm approach.

Cruegly takes the cake. This wreath in all different holidays. Since St. Pat’s is coming up, thought I’d share this one….

Front Door Series Pt. 3

MMMMM, Burlap! This post is dedicated to all those crafty ladies out there who can whip something from the simplicity of burlap. . . Enjoy!

The bright, vibrant colors pull me in. the little clothespin keep me admiring… a la Tatertots and Jello.

Same idea, but the buttons stand out in this one.

Of course! She uses rosettes, how could you not love this?

My girl, Em, displays this wreath made by her fiend Rae.

Check out this wreath that combines burlap, fabric and twigs. What a great combo!

The best thing about it, it can be changed out for seasons….

Come back Friday to see the different seasons for the wreath above and several other Holiday door decor ideas!

Happy Crafting,

Front Door Series Pt. 2

Well, I posted this originally around 8 last night. But accidentally deleted it this morning. OOPS. Without further ado….

Front door accessories.

Emily is adorable. I cannot get enough of her. To see her entry click here. To see a tutorial on this book page wreath, click here.

Love Shannon’s vinyl “Welcome”

She even hung this “No Soliciting ” sign above her doorbell.

I really like the pop of green on this black door.

The retro letters of this red and black door from Remodelaholic look great!

Wouldn’t this look cute at a wedding?

Speaking of weddings, we got married at a barn, ya’ll and two of these hung on the beautiful red doors! This hangs on the door of my office and in the spring, our front door.   My sis took this pic! She could totally start her own business.

Clearly, I like contrasting colors on front doors.

Love the bright springy colors of this fresh flower wreath. (Also used at a wedding)

Hope these wreaths can give you an idea for what to place on your front door. Come back Wednesday for the 3rd part of the front door series. Hint…. it involves burlap!

See you soon!

The Front Door Series

One thing that I look forward to when we buy a home is creating a welcoming front door welcome! I want to paint it a fun color and then do something with vinyl to make it look warm and inviting. Here are some of my favorite front doors out there in blogland….

Today, I’ll show you some of my favorite doors, most of the brightly colored. Come back in Monday to see some of my favorite door “accessories” …

Micha’s adorable yellow door. What a brave attempt that worked out well!

Do you not just LOVE this turquoise door?

Words can’t describe the beauty of this door.

Just love the whole look! From Martha Stewart online.

What door is your favorite?

Would you be so bold and brave to paint your door a funky color? which one?

Happy Birthday, Al!

Today, I dedicate One Thing at A Time to one of my favorite gals around, Allison. Al turned 25 yesterday! We celebrated with a night out in Asheville eating local Southern food and chocolate!

She’s incredibly talented and has been blogging about the same time I have. Her projects are inspiring but I thing I love most about Al is her authenticity. Head over to Recreate Home to see all of her projects. Here are some of my faves.

Shelf Redo. She doesn’t post about it; but Al also made the sign and I am in love with it!

Picture Frame turned Serving Tray

I know it’s February, but I still think these are adorable!

Feliz Cumpleanos, Allison. Love ya!

Rosette Fever

Today, I’m being lazy…. totally lazy. The husband is beside me watching hulu and I”m blog surfing. I’ve got an itch for crafting some cute little rosettes to jazzy up my lamp in the living room. Rosettes are so versatile.

Little Birdie Secrets gives a great tutorial I’ll be using.

Lillyella uses great colors together.

How cute are these baby blues on the brown pump. BrydFyrth on Etsy has rosettes galore!

I’m diggin’ Just a Girl’s blog post on how she transformed her lamp.

Our Daily Chocolate made this adorable headband!

These mustard rosettes from My Sparkle would look great with a plum dress I wear.

This is a headband from Ryah Sofia. The white and pearls speak to my inner southern belle 🙂

20 Something made these adorable Christmas ornaments.

Use this inspiration to make some rosettes of your own. Most people have fabric hanging around the house. This is a great way to use those scraps up!
